One-to-one Shot and retouched by me Malaysia & Singapore Sony FX30 cinema camera

No layered studio process. Briefing, shooting and retouching — all the same person.

What we shoot

Four kinds of shot,
covering everything online

A website hero, a Marketing post, a RED note, a Google Business listing, a menu — each wants a different frame. One shoot, composed separately for each placement, so the files drop straight in instead of being cropped to death later.

These illustrate the types of shot covered, using OneUnity's licensed commercial imagery — they are not client work. What you receive is your own products, premises and team. Want to see real shoots? Ask me on WhatsApp.

When you actually need a shoot

Stock can supply a mood.
It can't supply your things

Situational backdrops and lifestyle visuals — licensed stock handles those well. But the moment the content involves your own products, premises, team or before-and-after, stock is useless. What the customer wants to see is yours.

High-end retouching

This is my day job. In previous work I was involved for years in colour, retouching and prepress for international brands — the same standard goes into your photos.

  • Colour correction & grading
  • Product retouching
  • Cut-outs & compositing
  • Natural portrait retouching

Short-form video

For your hero section, RED or IG Reels. Stills and video captured in the same session.

A professional cinema body with a constant f/2.8 lens — clean results even in dim interiors, and shallow depth of field that lifts your product off a busy background. A commercial working kit, not phone-camera territory.

Ask for a shoot quote

Tell me what needs shooting, roughly how many images, and where — I'll quote it.
Bundled with a web or social package it costs less than sourcing separately.

Retouching

Drag the handle,
see what changes

The same photo, before and after, is two different price brackets. Colour casts, flat greys, shadows gone to mud — leave those in and even a well-composed shot won't hold up on a website. This part is my actual trade, not something tacked on after the shoot.

Demonstration: one source image — the left side simulates a common unprocessed state (colour cast, underexposed, flat), the right is processed. It shows what retouching changes; it is not a client case.

How it runs

From first message
to finished files, five steps

The worst thing on a shoot day is realising something should have been brought along. So most of the effort goes in beforehand — once the list is agreed, the shoot itself is just execution.

01

Talk it through

What you need shot, where it will be used (site hero? posts? menu?), roughly how many. One WhatsApp conversation is usually enough to quote.

02

Agree the shot list

Itemised by use: which products, which angles, portrait or landscape. You confirm it, so nothing is missing once we've packed up.

03

Book and shoot

Johor Bahru and Singapore both covered. Premises shoots are scheduled around your busy hours so trade isn't interrupted.

04

You select

You see every frame the same day and pick what gets retouched. Nothing padded, no counting files to hit a number.

05

Retouch and deliver

Colour correction, detail work and cutouts as needed, delivered in both full-resolution and web-ready sizes.

What you receive

Not just a folder of raws

Plenty of shoots end with a folder of several hundred untouched files and you figuring out the rest. What gets delivered here is material that drops straight into use.

Photos

  • Finished retouched files — count set by the package, each colour-corrected and cleaned
  • Two sizes — full resolution for print and large use, plus compressed web versions that load fast
  • Two crops — landscape for the website, portrait and square for Marketing and RED, from the same shoot
  • Cutouts — transparent PNGs for product shots where layouts need them
  • Named properly — by product and area, not DSC_0431

Unselected frames are kept for a period, so you can come back and have more retouched later, priced per file.

Short video (optional)

  • Same session — stills and video captured together, no second booking
  • Vertical cut — 9:16 ready for Reels, RED and Stories
  • Edited — graded with subtitles, not a pile of raw clips
  • Web version — a separately compressed file for site hero backgrounds so nothing slows down

Video is quoted by content and length. Adding it to a shoot costs less than coming back for it.

OneUnity designer

The same person does all of it, start to finish.

In previous work I spent years on colour, retouching and prepress production for international brands including La Mer, Make Up For Ever, Shiseido and MAC — where a slight shift means reprinting the batch. Now a Senior Programmer, handling sites from design through to build. No sales rep, no account manager, no layers in between.

FAQ

Questions you might have

How is a shoot priced?
By content and volume, not by the hour. Eight product shots and a whole premises take completely different amounts of time and post-production — an hourly rate would be wrong for one of us either way.

Tell me on WhatsApp what needs shooting, roughly how many frames and which area, and you get a number. Bundled with a website or Marketing package it costs less than sourcing separately.
How long does it take? Will it disrupt trade?
Most shoots are done within a day. Premises shoots are booked outside your busy hours wherever possible so customers aren't affected.

If we do have to shoot while you're open — to capture real service, for instance — we agree the movement beforehand and stay out of the way.
I don't have many products. Is it worth hiring someone?
Depends what your current photos look like. If your phone shots are already clean, don't spend the money yet — I'll tell you that directly.

But for the handful that go on your site hero, into paid ads, or in front of a customer judging your quality, it's worth it. Professionalism is often decided by three or four images. A few sharp ones beat a folder of blurry ones.
Can I just get retouching, without a shoot?
Yes, and plenty of people start there. You already have photos, they just don't look good — colour cast, too dark, cluttered background, flaws on the product. Most of that is recoverable.

Send them over on WhatsApp. I'll tell you how far they can be improved and whether it's worth paying for, then quote. If something genuinely can't be saved I'll say it needs reshooting rather than take the money first.
What standard is your retouching?
My working background is long-term involvement in colour, retouching and pre-press for brands including La Mer, Make Up For Ever, Shiseido and MAC — where a slight colour shift means the whole batch runs again.

The same process applies to your files: colour correction, consistent grading, product cleanup, cutouts and compositing, natural retouching on people. The two comparisons above demonstrate what that actually changes.
Who owns the photos? Can I use them freely?
Photos of your products, premises and team are yours to use however you like commercially once delivered — website, ads, print, social, Google Business. No need to ask.

The one restriction is not reselling them to third parties as stock. I may show work in a portfolio; if you'd rather I didn't, just say so up front.
I'm not comfortable on camera.
Very common, and there's no need to force it.

People shots don't have to be front-facing portraits. Hands at work, a profile mid-task, a figure with the space around them — all convey "someone real does this properly", and most people photograph more naturally that way.

If you'd rather not appear at all, that's fine too. Products, premises and service in progress are more than enough to carry a professional presence.
Where do you shoot?
Johor Bahru and Singapore, with no travel surcharge for either.

Elsewhere is negotiable depending on schedule and travel cost — ask on WhatsApp first.
What if it rains or I need to reschedule?
More than a day's notice and rescheduling is free.

Outdoor work depends on weather anyway — if it rains I'll suggest moving it rather than shooting a set of unusable frames and then telling you a reshoot costs extra.
How do we start?
Send three things on WhatsApp: your industry, what needs shooting (products / premises / team / service), and the photos you currently have — however bad, I need to see the starting point.

I'll work out whether you need a reshoot or just retouching, then send a shot list and quote to confirm. Talking costs nothing.
